Sanctuary

A rather overcast day so we headed to the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek. Set on an estuary on the Lizard it is in a lovely wooded valley.
We saw some of this seasons’ abandoned baby seal cubs being looked after in the hospital prior to being rehabilitated and released. There were some rescued common and grey seals and sea lions from zoos, and unwanted penguins.
It is all run in a very caring and ethical way, not about money making at all. Highly recommended for a visit.
