Survivor

Big surprise, this is Crocus medius, planted out maybe ten years ago and not seen again for most of the intervening years.  I've renovated the raised bed this year, clearing out a few rampageous plants and freshening up the soil.  Seems to have worked a little miracle.  This species is very virus prone and safer planted in the garden away from too many other crocuses.

After an early afternoon hospital appointment - special 'extra' clinic on a Saturday - Jamie and I headed off to London to visit my Mum and also a local hand cycling expert.  Tomorrow's forecast rain is a pain but Monday may be better.
