Basil in the Jitty

Wonderfully warm this morning and the first part of this afternoon, although we were on the fringes of Storm Callum and it was extremely breezy. The lawn is covered with leaves.

Basil and I walked to Open Church. The vicar was ostentatiously, and inconsiderately, holding a meeting. She knows that Saturday mornings are sacrosanct for people who want to drop in for tea, coffee and chat, but that doesn't seem to bother her. She has no notion of what social interaction is and how important it is.

The story's going round that she halted a birthday party in the parish hall at 10pm one evening because it was making too much noise. No matter that the people had paid the money to hire the hall.

Basil was nicely contrejour in the jitty on the way home. Spent afternoon refining my talk for Tuesday. It's been billed as a mystery journey.

Extra is a double exposure of beautiful red leaves blowing in the breeze.
