(Wooden) Nautilus

Spent a pleasant day with a friend at art museums today, lunching on a delicious kale salad and Thai iced coffee at Spalding House.   This wooden nautilus caught my attention from the exhibit "Making Waves" of women artists in the museum's collection.   This is a turned, carved, incised maple with pigment, by Melinda Fawver entitled "Nautilus I, 1993".
