The season of hiking opened.

Well, due to weather conditions (remains of hurricane Leslie reaching us during the afternoon today) we had to make it short. We had planned to go for "real mountains", but chose shorter route just to be safe.

So today's picture is Casas del Señor village in Monóvar in Alicante Province. Some of the clouds were hanging low and there was nice mist around too. On the same time we could see the rain clouds getting closer and closer. But we didn't get wet!

2016 Casas del Señor village had 245 residents. It's located next to Sierra del Coto where we did our hike, we just didn't go all the way up. Vistas were beautiful with the clouds and mist. We weren't only ones enjoying the trail.

As the hike was so short, we took a pit stop to Crevillent reservoir and did a short walk there too. It was beautiful there too. My husband that cycles that area often told me they had filled the reservoir lately for weeks. We have no idea where the water comes from. It must be coming from north or inland, because the reservoirs here are lacking water.

I follow the reservoir situation online every week (for real). We are in the area with lowest water reservoir. Out capacity is filled 26,35% in Alicante province. It was around 30% last year this week and 43,5% 10 years ago this week. So luckily Leslie is bringing some water with her. Today our village has already received 12mm of water and it's gonna rain few more hours slightly. Very good!
