Pickled onions

A very wet day, but no wind. Still quite warm.
So haven’t ventured out.
A lazy breakfast and reading in bed.
Autumn vegetable soup made for lunch.
This afternoon had a phone call from a friend in Somerset. Lots of catching up, and so was on for quite a while.
Next job putting the pickled onions in jars.
Not a very pleasant aroma in the kitchen.
Made cottage pie for tea, and baked some French apple tarts. ( see extra)
Now settling down to watch the Strictly Results.
