Land on the water

At nine we left Amstelveen, following rivers and canals southwards. Partly we went opposite my solo tour of last summer, but after Gouda, we chose to go more to the east instead of the south.
 We marvel at the amount of rivers, canals and ditches. Of course we know that the west looks like this, but it is so easily forgotten in our own hilly landscape. We pass through nice small towns with bridges and narrow streets and no more then the roofs of dike houses above the dikes.
And it is still almost summer.
