Shadows in Fresno

Over to Spain this afternoon, to buy steel sheeting for the porch Mike is making, there's a good place there for this sort of thing. The town is called Villanueva del Fresno, which is interesting, as I lived for a year with my sister in Fresno, California, when I was fifteen. And never knew that it meant ash tree.

The town is known for its gurumelos (a type of solid wild mushroom) and black pigs, and for having been razed to the ground by the Portuguese in 1646, and rebuilt about 25 years later, hence Villanueva (new town).
