Nov Challenge - Pale - Reflection of the Forecast

Backblip of Day 23 of the November Daily Challenge - Pale

We started the day full of optimism, the weather forecast was for a sunny, dry day, with no rain forecast before we would be safely back at base in the dry and warm. We chose to go up Hallin Fell behind Ullswater.

The plans started going awry when the planned route was closed. Having diverted round (and bypassed a visit to Aira Force) we arrived at the destination and the sun was absent. The weather went slowly downhill from there, while we were going uphill. We had rain and hail, there was snow appearing on the hill tops, there was a nice big blue patch in the sky which was quickly filled in by black clouds.

So, once back down we went for a pint/cuppa/hot chocolate, and then called in at Castlerigg Stone Circle. My camera was drenched, the sensor was misted up and my main lens was too, so over to the infra red converted camera with a wide-angle lens, and here is my blip - a pale reflection of the weather forecast.

To finish the day in the evening session I bought JohnGravett his promised drink. He had failed in his mission in identifying the mystery lens in my blip from 15th November, but was a tough one - even for a Nikon Nerd, It was in fact a 85mm Perspective Correction, Macro lens, not the most popular lens in Nikon's range.
