The Wick

The boiler service man came promptly so I had time afterwards to nip out on my bike for a couple of hours. I ventured south to Victoria Park and did my usual cut through Hackney Wick. Would you adam and eve it - they've just opened a new shiny entrance into Hackney Wick station. 

Well its not actually shiny. More like rusty because they have used that rust surfaced Corten steel which looks cool and funky. Its all part of a so-called regeneration project for the area. Except it was fine - old warehouses used by students and artists. Now largely replaced by new flats.

Then at tea time I went to see Cold War - a Polish film which has had rave reviews. And very good it was, too. Just caught it - not on for much longer.
