Autumn Arriving

Acis autumnalis, or autumn snowflake, all over the land outside our gate at the moment, first rain, and they were there. They are tiny, there's an acorn bottom right to give scale.

Cleared a path today so we don't have to go on the road to get to the gate when we walk back from town that way. It's a rough bit of road, and either dusty or muddy, and often has human poo... Clearing involved chainsawing a wild olive tree, hacking away branches, and replacing stones onto the broken wall.

Mike and Julia took Lula to be castrated this morning, staying to watch the op. The anaesthetic didn't take properly, but as Ju said, she's seen worse done to women... and meant he recovered quickly. Had a dramatic thunderstorm with heavy rain, so he's inside tonight, with his halo on, still a bit drugged. Never known him so docile.
