Autumn Colours in Thrunton Wood

My Editor and I decided to go for a hike in Thrunton Wood, not far from Rothbury, Northumberland. The autumn colours were wonderful, even during the intermittent cloudy periods.

We had the place almost to ourselves, although there were a few other walkers and the occasional intrepid mountain bikers!
