Flower Friday: Blooms Old & New

This poor bedraggled rose bloom still has a hint of majestic prettiness about it. I was pleased however to see a new bud behind it: I'm hoping that it will also open up, although I'm not banking on it as autumn is progressing rapidly. This is a climbing rose which usually only flowers for a short while in late spring, so we're lucky that it has blooms on it at all at this time of year.
