Up in the air again

Flew home yesterday afternoon, on an almost empty plane from Florence to Charles de Gaulle and an almost completely full one (apart from business class, of course) from CdeG to Edinburgh. Florence has two flights within one hour to Paris in the afternoon. Weird, or what? Anyway, unsurprisingly, the second one on Saturday afternoon was completely empty.

Usual surreal CdeG experience. No signs. Shuttles to nowhere land. Dirty toilets. Staff who don't really seem to know what they are doing.

That's me back home apart from a day trip to Bxl and a week away at Christmas until the middle of January. Yippee. But from the end of January onwards, things are looking hectic for a while. Let's hope it's not going to be one of those snowy ones....

Lovely lunch yesterday in Florence with a friend and former colleague, who is currently working there. We sat outside. It was a bit chilly, but none the less it, was possible. Plus a visit to the market - pecorino, parma ham and parmigiano. A sort of P thing going on.

Home too late and too tired to blip.

This was take just after we had taken off from Florence and shows the Italian coastline. The map is a bit approximate.
