View From Above

The former Road to Nowhere is now officially a shortcut to the airport from our end of the beach. It is still relatively untraveled, especially on an early Sunday morning such as today. I saw more dogs (eight) and donkeys (three) than cars (two) during my time traversing the hill. I was treated to elevated views of our lovely bay, so nice this time of year with the green foliage surrounding the calm waters. Hurricane Wilma was creating some clouds as well as obscuring the horizon line. My time off the bike the past week slowed my bottom to top time by almost two minutes since my last ride. Or it could have been the oppressive humidity, which only got worse when the sun came out.
