Cap-Haitien

Hooray I have my luggage. The woman at the desk recognized it as mine because I’d shown her a picture of it. This is particularly great since my name and address tag were missing/removed from the bag.

It is raining heavily. The guards at the hotel would not let us drive in the front way supposedly because they are concerned about protests. They did let a vehicle out. They made us drive around to the back where there are no personnel watching the entrance to the parking lot, never mind security. The entrance was open. The back door was open, with no personnel watching it, never mind security, and we went all the way into the hotel, again, with no personnel there to notice, never mind security. If there actually are any protesters (in the rain) they can walk right in the back unimpeded. Great.

We went to Cap-Haitien and back today. The picture is within walking distance from the airport there.
