A Monkey's Tale

Branch Out

This tree & his twiggy neighbours tower over the driveway & reign a terrible tyranny during the autumn days, dropping slippery & treacherous leaves whenever they feel like it.

But, as you can see, the trees time at the top has come to an end, & they been reduced back to basics. I suddenly noticed how bare they looked as Jen & I walked out to the car, en route for nice little jog. It's been a week now since the Spartan race & my legs are now remaining in a solid form.

We had a good run, really great to get some fresh air in the glimpse of sun that came out, & we only got just a bit drenched on our last lap round the estate. A rainbow did appear, but although I enjoy it, running & taking pictures don't really go hand in hand, no matter how appealing Zooey Deschanel makes it seem in Yes Man. I'm still gonna do it though!

Lazy like Sunday afternoon really does describe the rest of our day. Bliss. Jen did some more baking, white chocolate brownies this time, & we settled down to a classic & brilliant Margaret Rutherford Miss Marple as the rain came down teamed down once again outside.

On the I'm A Celebrity front, such a shame the gentle fellow Colin Baker had to bid farewell. Even more of a shame Eric Bristow didn't get the boot, he really is a bit of an ogre at times. Colin rules! It's gotta be the beautiful Ashley, the suave Hugo & the somewhat cocky David in the final for me.

Happy dormant days. Sleep tight.
