Powder Puffs

I was shopping on Maleny's main street (Queensland) this morning when I saw that the blooms had opened on this show-stopper of a hedge. It may look delicate but these Calliandras are tough plants of the pea family and are often used for hedging.

If you look carefully you'll spot an Aussie honeybee; they are slim, small and fast-moving yet the buzz of them indulging in this lovely hedge was almost deafening.
