The Archbishop had his say. Here is mine.

As a Catholic, I try to know and understand what the Church teaches.

As a woman, I feel disparaged and misunderstood by a male hierarchy that labels me "not right matter" and declines to accept me as an equal.

As an American, I make up my own mind and vote my conscience.

As an American Catholic woman voter, I am praying for the defeat of ballot measure 106, an unjust and disrespectful attempt to deny access to medical care to all the women of Oregon. And I will vote No.
