End of the Line

... well, almost.

I called in at Abergynolwyn to collect Jamie.  He did the first six and a half miles of our long journey home by train :-)   Here the service train passes the Tracksiders works train.  The Tracksiders - parents and younger children - had been dropped at Nant Gwernol for a session of bramble bashing, their train standing in the loop at Aber for a few hours.   Here the sun had not yet made it over the mountain ridge above.  It was very cold and gloomy.  Wintry.

We had an excellent journey home.  Short stops, no hold ups. Door to door in less than six hours.

Extra pics - probably the last steam shots for 2018.  Two views of No 6 Douglas, one departing Tywyn Wharf in the sunshine, the other as it pulled away at Aber after dropping Jamie off.
