Go, Go, Go!!!!!

Was blooming freezing this morning....but gloriously sunny, so a walk into town, had to get my thicker jacket and gloves out. Have been trying to avoid them until after our hols, failed :-/

Popped into our GPs, had my flu jab.....have continued to have it, since retiring from the NHS, as I had it as a staff member...never had any side effects or colds as a result!

We had coffee and lunch in the cafe, then walked home. Youngest son and DiL came to ours, as they were earlier than planned. The four of us went together to our local Race Circuit, for a day to remember!

Since Neil was diagnosed with glaucoma several years ago, his sight has gradually diminished. One of the consequences circa 5 years ago, was that he could no longer drive, which for a then 32 year old man was a big blow. He has dealt remarkably well with the hand he has been dealt, he makes me immensely proud :-)

Neil found the charity, The Speed of Sight, on the Internet. They provide subsidised driving experiences for people with varying disabilities. Their CEO is blind and set up with charity as he has a love of speed!!! Their volunteers and drivers are fabulous and really added to our experience, can't recommend them highly enough!!!

Neil was a little cagey for his first lap, but was soon into the swing of it, he had 10 laps of the track, gradually increasing speed, flooring it with no assistance from his co driver, which probably took best part of 30 mins. Apparently he did clatter a cone on a particular left hand bend, his blindside, which his co driver has now christened Neils Corner!!

Ive added a couple of extras, I love the look of pure delight on Neils face, just after they pitted and he had taken his helmet off :-D

Camera club tonight, someone from Apple coming to talk to us.....might learn something :-)
