Autumn arrays

What a beautiful day!

Clear blue skies, bright sunshine and pleasantly warm too!

We slept in until 8.50 (or maybe it was 9.50?!) Up and off to Lidl for fresh bread at 10, unbelievably busy....maybe some had been stood outside since 9 ;-)))

Todays blip just tipifies what a lovely day its been. There is still a lot of green amongst the other autumnal colours, but I thought it was a lovely sight in the suns rays.

After our walk and collection of sunday papers, we had a leisurely hour reading with a coffee, before our visitors arrived.

We've not seen youngest son and Dil since before their week away, and DiLs subsequent health scare on return. Initially they thought malaria or meningitis as her temperature was almost 40, but after an ambulance dash and an overnighter with tests, diagnosis was a severe viral infection, she was laid up for two weeks:-/ but thankfully she is back to normal now.

We had lunch at ours whilst catching up on news. They had sold their house, and just last weekend found a property that they love. Youngest went to Old Trafford with his Dad and step beother yesterday, which he thoroughly enjoyed, and he did manage to see the goal, but said he struggled to make out anything in the opposite half of the pitch.

Hub watched his team on tv this afternoon inbetween our chat, they managed a draw away from home, but boring according to him!
Hes currently catching up on an episode of Game of Thrones........youngest and Dil have just left for home, its only 4.45 and not far off dark already :-(

A simple steak dinner for us this evening, followed by a night in front of the TV.........time for Simon to depart tonight me thinks ;-)
