Oil on water

Really wanted to get this one right to help beat the frustrations of man-flu-symptoms mixed with a really bad throat.

It didn't turn out as expected, but I think I know why. Future experimentation will be required, but that'll be fun too!

Cheap vegetable oil poured on top of water in a glass casserole dish balanced on top of a pair of glass tumblers in the kitchen. Flash from the side illuminating a stripy blanket pushed underneath the casserole dish. Aperture set by trial and error (meter still in bag) and shutter at max sync to kill any chance of ambient getting in.

Different, and an enjoyable exeriment which will be repeated at some point soon :)

Happy shooting
