On the run

Well, it feels like I've been running around all day, but it's just doing the necessary food supermarket shop, necessary dog food shop, necessary dog walk (that was the nice bit) and necessary call at the golf club. Actually, the last one was because I won a prize back in the mists of time and apparently there's a prize-winners' bash next week to which I needed to reply.

Annoyingly, I left LH's necessary watch at the repairers for a battery to be changed and have only just remembered that I forgot to collect it.

So a blip of the trusty red car in yet another parking space. Not very exciting, but it's been that sort of day.

Meanwhile, LH has been battling with EDF Energy who have the most appalling (non) system for booking an engineer to come out. They have no way of doing so or putting us on a waiting list; we have been blithely informed that we have to keep ringing up on the off-chance that a space is available (and they are overbooked). Given it takes an excruciating time to get through I don't know quite what they believe we do with our lives, and when we had to do this before we were told the only way we could be assured of getting an appointment was to make a complaint. So we have. Vociferously.

A quiet evening feels necessary too.
