Campervan Hunting

After our disappointment yesterday we decided to go to the NEC today.
Obviously we'd get in trouble for leaving the Little Misses alone all day so we had to take them with us!
Miss E went swimming first thing and a shorter than usual trip to Harris + Hoole before we set off to the NEC.

Thankfully there was a shuttle bus stop near to where we parked and a bus came after a few minutes. Otherwise I think we'd still be walking now!!
We went to the Autotrail stand first to look at at couple of models we are trying to decide between. We were in one and chatting about the compromises  when Fanny* who was working on the stand came and got in with us and started being annoying. Proper annoying. She didn't seem able to sense the vibes I was giving off.
Vibes which said fuckofffuckofffuckofffuckoff!!!!!!
She was rude, didn't listen, spoke over us, couldn't answer simple questions and said "you can't have that. You can't have that. You can't have that" when we were getting confused about layouts.
As she was oblivious to my fuckoff vibes I just had to get out and away from her. So annoying as we really wanted to see if that could have been the van we wanted.
*Not her real name but she was so annoying she deserves the pseudonym Fanny.
Getting away from her was like a breath of fresh air and we spent the next few hours getting in and out of many, many, many motorhomes and campervans. The Little Misses had fun climbing up and down into all the beds!
We joined the Camping and Caravan Club, joined the Woodland Trust and got a couple of free trees and a couple of goodie packs, entered loads of competitions, had Subways for lunch and bought a spike for our flagpole (in the first photo here). The one we have is too flimsy!!
As it quietened down later in the afternoon we went back to Autotrail to have some uninterrupted time to consider our options.
Guess who popped up almost immediately?!!!!!  Uuuuuuugghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!
I don't think I've ever met a salesperson so oblivious to the signals buyers are sending out!!
Then it was time to head home. There was a man on the shuttle bus struggling with four full size packets of gluten free cornflakes. We got chatting to him and it turned out they had been given away in goodie bags. When Miss L said she was gluten free he kindly offered one of the packets to her. We don't ordinarily take food off strangers on buses but he was kind and Miss L was giddy!!
