Only Another 20 To Go

After seeing a customer this morning we went to Hatton Locks after lunch to meet Maureen and Ian.  It was a nice day weather-wise and we went for a walk along one of Hatton Locks' published walks, the shortest, 1.5 miles.  It took us through woodland, across fields and back to the cafe via the canal towpath.

Hatton Locks is a stretch of the Grand Union Canal comprising twenty one locks along a 2 mile (3.2km) length, a total rise of 148 feet (45 metres), quite a job for the canal boat skipper to manoeuvre through.  I guess sharing a lock helps!
