Klingon

This is a tendril from a Gewurztraminer grape plant not a species in Star Trek.  My brother in law likes to see the grape vines start climbing up and attaching itself to the wires.  When we called around he was bud rubbing.  He rubs off all the shoots and buds that are starting to grow below knee height.  This helps the vine send all the energy and nutrients into the grapes and leaves in the canopy.  He is looking after a few rows of Gewurztraminer because he has always wanted to produce a vintage from these grapes.  He fell out of love with grapes for some time but now has he rediscovered his passion. :-)
