The Tea Room.....

...at Polesden Lacey NT property. A lovely day out with good friends.

This last home of Mrs Margaret (Maggie) Greville, a legendary Edwardian hostess, was bequeathed to the National Trust with the wish that it should "be open to the public at all times" and should be enjoyed by the "largest number of people." It was certainly busy today!

This Tea Room was my favourite room, it being intimate and possibly even "cosy," Mrs Greville's dress is printed with hand-painted silk flowers and embellished with crystal beads....just my style (!!)
