MONO MONDAY 250

Very little thought has gone into this shot for today's challenge - a busy day celebrating a very special blipper's birthday, gym and daughter in law with baby Sophia.
I was wanting to catch a plane taking off but not one - they're always taking off and landing just not when you want.  Trust me - there is a pelican in the frame coming in to land on the sandbar.
Early to bed with golf in the morning followed by lunch at Marie's to watch the Melbourne Cup - 'the race that stops a nation' - apparently.
There are twenty-four horses in the race and the poor things have to race a long way.
