The Great Rust Out

Dear Diary,

We are entering the rusting out time when all the bright colors of autumn slowly but surely fade to, what I think, is a lovely rusty color.  The oak trees are in their glory now.  Never ones to flaunt themselves in bright reds, oranges, or yellows, they prefer these subtler shades.  many will keep their brown leaves through the winter months creating soft rattling sounds when the wind blows.  I think this is a beautiful time of year.
