Big Eyes

The opportunity to photograph raptors is one of the many reasons I enjoy the annual Nature Visions conference.  I always feel a bit guilty, admiring these captive beauties, but I have to trust that they are rehabilitated birds that are well cared for. This is a Eurasian Eagle-owl, one of the largest.  What a stunning creature.
