Bird, Bridge, and Boardwalk

Drove through the Alentejo in bright autumn sunshine, but drizzling grey skies when we arrived in Lisbon. Decided to brave the board walk alongside the Tejo (Tagus) anyway, got rained on a couple of times, but worth it, enough sun came out to create a rainbow behind the 17.5km Vasco da Gama bridge - loved whatever effect came out on this photo, as though a bird had emerged from the colours.

Dinner with our friend with the doubly broken leg, healing, but going crazy cooped up in her flat which doesn't get any sun coming in. M's Mum had come down from the North to help, bringing one of her chickens (dead, I presume) on the bus with her, so we had soup and a pie from it, salad and sweet potatoes from her garden, and then an apple pie with apples from her orchard.

Also, thanks so much for all your comments and stars and hearts for yesterday, you are such a great bunch of people!
