Croxden Abbey

On our travels again with the Motorhome.
We are heading for a Timeline event photographing a Vulcan bomber at night. It will be lit and have re-enactors posing so I'm not sure how much creativity I'll be able to put into it.
On the way we stopped at Croxden Abbey near Uttoxeter.
This heritage property is the remains of a13th century abbey of the 'white' Cistercian monks who would have been prosperous sheep farmers in their day. It was an amazing place but we arrived there very late. As we are staying on a site close by, I am hoping to return in the morning. Our Motorhome is framed by one of the abbey's arches
We will continue our journey to the Vulcan Bomber tomorrow via another ruin or two.
