The Old Forge (Tuesday 6th November 2018)

My cotinus has given glorious value all year, and is now touched by autumn gold. After seeing it in shadow through a parasol yesterday, here it is in close-up.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Bob Dylan - Up To Me (Take 1) (recorded 16 September 1974, New York)
This song first saw the light of day in a version by Roger McGuinn, as room couldn't be found for it on Blood On The Tracks, such was the abundance of strong material, despite Dylan having attempted the song multiple times during the four days of sessions in New York. One take was released later on the box set Biograph and another on More Blood More Tracks, including the single CD edition which I listened to in full on this day. After a rehearsal run-through on day one, this was the first attempt at recording the song, and is found on the full 6CD set.
