'RIO VISTA'

Rio Vista Historical House - overlooking the Murray River and "just around the corner" from us. ...
It was first occupied by W.B. Chaffey and his family in 1892. The Chaffey brothers, were among the first Irrigation pioneers in this district.
Their history is so interesting. The beautiful fountain shown here is not the original, but the original still stands in our small city.
The original fountain was re-located when one of their small children was drowned in it.
The replacement shown here was repainted just this week, and in the near future, I shall put on here a night scene and hopefully the fountain may be going..
"Rio Vista" in Spanish, means 'River View'...
