Feral Choir

Today's the day ……………………… for War and Peace: Hindsight

Went to a truly wonderful performance of the Feral Choir  this afternoon in Kirkcudbright.

It consisted of songs, prose and stories from the autumn and winter of 1918 - exploring the last few months of the First World War before cessation of fighting was declared at 11.00hrs on 11th of November.  It was an intensely moving experience - and with readers Liz Kettle and Alan McLure, it was so easy to imagine yourself back to that particularly poignant time.  It was devised and conducted by Alison Burns, the leader of the Feral Choir.

I was absolutely inspired by this choir and the way that they sang.  There are some 'taster'  sessions coming up at the end of the month.  Think I just might go along and see if they might let me join them …………………..?
