for Barry

An elderly member of our Meeting died recently and today was his 'Memorial Meeting' where we celebrated his life. I didn't know him that well but we had been made very welcome by his particular warmth and friendliness when we first arrived here. 

Before the Meeting I was chatting to his son and commented (having noticed a rather unusual quantity of bow ties present) that I ought to have worn one of mine.  He immediately provided me with one of Barry's to wear, and to keep in his memory - which I shall be pleased to do.
