Moved to tears

After a VERY large breakfast we went for a walk around Stratford-upon-Avon. We were following a walk that I’d downloaded from ViewRanger. We saw lots of old buildings. The blip was taken in the church where Shakespeare is buried, Holy Trinity. To mark the end of the First World War the names of people that had died were hanging in one of the chapels. The ages of them made me cry.

The additional photo is of the detail of one of the buildings.

We then drove to Chester. Having booked in we went for a walk around the city. We knew from a TV programme that there were Roman remains in the basement of Pret. We asked the staff if we could go and have a look and they kindly showed them to us. Being nice to people really pays off.

After a walk we’ve been to a tapas bar. It was a great day.
