Montgomery Town

A beautiful sunny day today, so we decided to explore the Welsh Marches (the area along and around the border between England and Wales).  It's a lovely, largely rural area and looked particularly nice today in the Autumn sunshine.
We called in to Montgomery the traditional county town of the historic county of Montgomeryshire to which it gives its name.
It's a very traditional town, and I was taken by the Hardware Shop which is very much a traditional ironmongers - founded by Robert Henry Bunner in 1892 - see my extra.  I don't imagine much has changed within - but being Sunday it was closed :-(
Montgomery also has a rather splendid Norman church which sits on a hill overlooking the town - my Blip is the view from the graveyard in the late afternoon light.
