It's been a wild day - torrential hail followed by sunshine followed by rainbows and everywhere soggy and glistening with earthy colours. I had to go across to the northside of the peninsula on an urgent mission and decided to go the very scenic way via Fahane. It's wild and bleak and remote and looked amazing. As you come across the mountain you hit a small road which leads you down past this homestead. It is my very favourite and I have blipped it before, but there's something about how it just fits so perfectly into the landscape. It is still lived in - his two dogs were watching as I drove by. No electricity.

The urgent mission involved a BVM, a kangaroo and jensphotos. That's all I'm saying.
