little memories

We have been remembering those who gave their lives in the great war over the past few days, but remembering someone who has died,  isn't limited to one day, as anyone who has suffered a personal loss will know only too well. Sometimes, it will be a smell, a noise, a place, something you taste, or a piece of music that will trigger a memory of a loved one no longer here. In this field small, fragile poppies invade a meadow, like those little, unexpected memories that enter our consciousness from time to time. We will remember all of them.
