Egg and Bacon Plant

I have lost count of the number of plants that look very similar to this beautiful little flower. I have an excellent reference book for native Australian Plants - “Native Plants of the Sydney District” by Alan Fairley and Philip Moore. After pouring over the book for quite some time, I believe this particular version in the Dillwynia sericea. A friend brought a tiny sprig and asked me if I could do a macro image of it for her. Once again, it’s astounding how much detail you can see compared to looking at the flower with the naked eye.

Thanks to JDO for hosting this months Tiny Tuesday Challenge. I’m really happy to have my macro mojo back.
