Tales from the Riverbank

On our first full day Mrs CBL and I explored the area around the Singapore River. Firstly we did it on foot and then later cruising on a bumboat.

The main image is of The Fullerton Hotel which is a Singapore icon. Built in the 1920s in the new-classical style, the hotel has beautiful brickwork and imposing Doric columns. It only became a hotel in 2000 having been previously the General Post Office and Library and very quickly established itself as one top 5 star luxury hotels in Singapore.
