Morning Light

I woke up before 8 am and saw this wonderful light outside!!
I rushed on the balcony to take a photo. Shame that there is no nice foreground .....
Then we started packing the final boxes! We were finished in time!
Heinz and Jens were there at 1 pm sharp and loaded about 30 boxed and the furniture into the truck to go into storage until it will go to Glasgow and Berlin next year!
After they left we cleaned up and Neil was chased by Christina up and down the stairs to collect old documents and magazines for recycling.
He had the patience of an angel! I believe he carried at least 1 ton of stuff just today!

In the evening we were meeting Heinz and Suzanne in the Odenwald for a very local and traditional dinner. We went to the Gasthof zum Grünen Baum in Fürth im Odenwald!
The food was incredible and totally hit the spot. Everyone really enjoyed it!
Neil had to sample the local apple wine, which is much dryer tha cider, and I think he enjoyed it too after the tough days we had.
Also Christina liked the food!

It was nice to finally meet Suzanne! Heinz "imported" here from Cameroon 20 years ago! It was funny to hear their story.
He apparently "omitted" to tell her about his home village Kröckelbach im Odenwald.
She arrived coming from the huge city of Duala to the mini village in the German outback with 300 living souls! Definitely not what she had expected. And it seemed Heinz deliberately did not tell here .... " She would not have come otherwise... he said with a mischievous grin ...."
She endured 3 months, then made him move into something more city like (still only 5 % of the size of Duala). They seem to be really happy together and we enjoyed each other's company.

We were home before 11 pm and were knackered.
Tomorrow we fly home. I hope all the remaining stuff will fit in the suitcases ......

Blipping the beautiful sky - you got the evening light yesterday :)
Heinz and Jens are the extra.
