Dirty High

Rock Choir this morning, carried on with Keeping The Dream Alive and started All I Want For Christmas. Good fun although I seem to have lost my favourite cap either on the way to the hall or it was accidentally picked up by someone there.

Fog descended as we walked home through Mote Park where today’s image summed up the dank autumn day. Such a change from yesterday. All due to Siberian High Pressure extending far to the west. Often under such high pressures the skies can be cloudy giving rise to the term “Dirty High”.

Spent what remained of the afternoon in the gloom at the allotment until it was dark. Cleared much ground and harvested beetroot, carrots and parsnips. Another couple of visits and the plot will shipshape for the winter.

A packed day ended with bottling pickled onions and practicing on the ukulele. Going to see Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain tomorrow and we’re playing 3 Christmas songs with the UOGB in a mass strum. Should be different.
