Santa Rosa Creek

Winter rains have come with a vengeance today. A series of strong storms has been predicted for days, so yesterday Dana and I moved all the flattened moving boxes from the outside and stuffed my car to the roof . We had no choice then but to drive to the recycle center this morning in torrential rain to dump them. One of the things that has yet to surface is, you guessed it, my raincoat! I stood in the downpour holding up the lid of the huge bin while OilMan shoved boxes in as fast as he could.

We were both drenched by the time we arrived at the farmhouse to begin the depressing task of clearing it. It felt like deja vu as once again I emptied the fridge and cupboards of food and dragged full bags to the garbage can.
It was nice to get back to our reasonably livable house bearing yet more stuff. Is this what simplifying is like?

A call from our Berkeley realtor informed us that there are already 5 people ready to make offers pending a look at the disclosures which OilMan is madly working on now. One wonders why it is necessary to disclose that there have been dogs in the house when there is a large dog door plainly visible...

During a break in the storm Ozzie and I walked down to the creek which runs behind the houses on the other side of the road. There is an open space where a bridge crosses the creek, giving Ozzie the opportunity to charge into the water while I took some pictures from the bridge.
