Four boats and four birds

These little sanderlings make their living dodging the waves right at the edge of the surf. One of these little guys got knocked off his feet and was floating like a soggy shuttlecock for a while, but don’t worry, he recovered (extras).
More smoke and haze here in Santa Cruz today than yesterday, let’s hope the rain really does arrive later this week.
