Chinese Garden
The Chinese Garden in Western Singapore is modelled on the Summer Palace in Beijing. It is a harmonious blend of natural and man-made elements such as rocks, ponds, streams, bridges and footpaths.
Mrs CBL and I particularly enjoyed seeing the bonsai gardens, climbing up the pagodas and sitting in the pavilions. Numerous statues are dotted around the grounds each with a tale from Chinese history to tell.
It is a place of serene beauty which we thoroughly enjoyed strolling around the various places of interest. There were several stops for refreshments and today’s treat to accompany our coffees was a delicious pandan chiffon cake!
