All is well

Well today couldn't have been more different from yesterday. Beautiful, if not quite warm, sunshine energised the spirit and by late morning I was in Chelmsford High St buying a new phone (see yesterday!) and other tasks that generally entertained and amused till early afternoon.  Once home, however, there followed some unexpected frustration to find that my ee mobile wifi box suddenly no longer worked.  Hey ho. Bro called for a cuppa and then I went back to the shops to the ee store to sort out a new internet box, so I'm back on line at the end of what turned out to be a rather expensive day.   However,  all is well and the day was nicely rounded off when bro and I met again for a couple of pints and dinner at the Fox and Raven.  We are spending the rest of the evening together at home with a glass of wine in front of TV -  including a gentle programme on the music of and relationship between Ralph Vaughan Williams and Gustav Holst.

All is well

The Stone Bridge, pictured, is Grade II listed. Built in 1787, it straddles the River Can at the southern end of Chelmsford High St, near Moulsham St.
