THE BOER WAR MEMORIAL . COOMBE HILL WENDOVER.

We went to Wendover today with friends and seen the War Memorial then we went back to our friend’s house for a meal. The War Memorial was erected and unveiled on Coombe Hill, near Wendover in 1904, in memory of the men from Buckinghamshire who had died in the Boer War. Standing on a high hill it can be seen from a great distance, and an excellent panoramic view can be seen from it. It was good to catch up with our friends and it’s been a lovely sunny day. We’re home now and it's time to settle down and watch the results of come dancing. I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend folks.
